Regulatory Requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordane with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
End Item Performance Testing. The color towels shall match the standard sample under natural (north sky) daylight or artificial daylight having a color temperature of 7500 + 500 Kelvin and shall be a good approximation to the standard sample under incandescent lamplight at 2850 + 100 Kelvin. The “US” marking shall show “good” colorfastness to laundering transference; shall show “fair” colorfastness to accelerated laundering and shall be clearly legible after subjection to accelerated laundering. The towels shall meet the end item testing requirements set forth in the tables below. Testing shall be in accordance with FED-STD-191 or as detailed in the following tables.
