COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
SHEET, BED (COTTON AND POLYESTER/COTTON BLEND)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description, for all Federal Agencies in lieu of DDD-S-281K and Interim Amendment 1.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description covers cotton and polyester/cotton blend muslin and percale flat bed sheets.
2. CLASSIFICATION.
2.1 Classification. The bed sheets shall conform to the following types and sizes, as specified (see 7.3).
Type I- Cotton muslin.
Type II- Cotton percale.
Type III- Polyester/cotton blend muslin (30% cotton, minimum)
Type IV- 50% polyester/50% cotton blend percale
Size- Finished size shall be as follows.

A tolerance of minus 1 inch (2.5 cm) and any plus amount shall be allowed in each dimensions.
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTCS
3.1 Standard commercial product. The sheet shall, as a minimum, be in accordance with the requirements of this commercial item description and shall be the manufacturer’s standard commercial.
