COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
MAT. BATH (DISPOSABLE)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID), for all Federal Agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description covers one type of disposable paper bath mats.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Material and dimensions. The bath mats shall be made from highly absorbent 100 percent bleached chemical pulp with the characteristics shown in Table 1. The mat shall be bleached white in color, embossed, and shall be 14 + 1/2 inches wide and 20-1/2 + inches long (35.6 + 1.3 cm wide and 52.1 + 1.3 cm long).

1/ The TAPPI test methods indicated have been found acceptable to determine if the bath mats meet the stated requirements.
2.2 Workmanship. The finished product shall be clean and free from dirt, dust, and foreign matter. The bath mat shall be free from distortions, holes, wrinkles, ragged edges, fragments, paper-dust, tears, dirt, rough or abrasive two or more mats fused together, or other defects affecting appearance, function, or serviceability.
2.3 Measurement system. The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The metric values stated in parentheses are for information purposes only.
